Ms. Albina de Gorostiza Gutierrez
Ms. Albina de Gorostiza Gutierrez is a native of San Pablo City. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Master’s Degree in Personnel and Human Resource Management from the University of Sto. Tomas.
In March 2001, she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.
In April 2003, she received her Certification as an International Montessori Directress from Montessori Institute of America.
She has worked as an assistant training manager of the Bob Garon Consultancy; Guidance counselor at Canossa College; Psychology Instructress at San Pablo Colleges; High School Principal at Grace and Truth School; and as an Elementary Principal at San Pablo Chung Hua School before she opened Scuola di Bambini di Sta. Teresita in 2001.
She is also a popular entity in civic organizations in San Pablo City. She has served as Charter President of Kiwanis Club of Siete Lagos; She was the former President of the Private Schools Educators Association of San Pablo City (2011-2018); the Zone Chairman of the Lions Club International District 301-A2 and the Committee Chairperson on Leadership Development of the Emerald Lions Club, San Pablo City. She is also a member of the World Council for Curriculum and Instruction, Philippine chapter. She is currently the Secretary of Laguna Private schools Administrators association since 2017 up to the present.
In her indefatigable drive to further advance her studies and to develop a much workable school system, she has attended several seminars, namely: 4 Q’s Success Program Seminar Southville International School; Multiple Intelligence Seminar conducted by Dr. Howard Gardner ; Joint Seminar on Teaching Strategies for the New Millennium; Training workshop on Science and Mathematics for Private School Teachers; Regional Conferences for Private Pre-elem/elem Schools; Kodaly Montessori Music Workshop; Seminar on Creativity in Teaching, Educating Diverse Learners whose proponent is Rita Dunn and K to 12 Seminars from Grades 1 to 10.
She has passed her competency examinations in the Elementary Montessori Education under Don McClurkin of the Montessori Teacher Preparation of the US and she received her Certification as an International Montessori Teacher/Directress of the Elementary level in November 2006.
She is the first Filipina to obtain a Master’s Degree in Education major in Montessori from the University of Saint Catherine in Minnesota, USA in May 23, 2010.
She obtained her Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership and Management at De La Salle University at Taft Avenue Manila last December 17, 2016.
Our director has been conducting training every summer to different school owners and principals from Metro Manila and the teachers from her own school Scuola dei Bambini di Sta. Teresita, International Montessori Inc.
